There is a lack of consensus regarding specific management practices owing to inconsistencies between clinical practices in terms of opinions and conclusions provided by experts. In this study, a meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the postoperative efficiency of functional sinus surgery. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines were followed to conduct the study, and the Cochrane Collaboration tool was used to determine the risk bias of the study. All the included articles were original studies, were written in English, and included human intervention. Ten articles were included for the meta-analysis. The study showed that functional endoscopic sinus surgery is preferred as a primary treatment modality for primary and recurrent nasal polyposis. It also improves symptoms with minimal chance of recurrence in majority of the patients. Postoperative outcomes of the sinus surgery also help as an analgesic to mitigate postoperative pain.
